P.K. is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina office and Team Leader of the firm's Damages Mitigation Team, which focuses on trial strategies for the mitigation of damages in catastrophic exposure cases. He is an invaluable strategic partner and fierce advocate for healthcare systems and healthcare providers across the country.
P.K. has a passion for trying cases, particularly those with challenging facts and circumstances. He serves as lead defense trial counsel, co-trial counsel, and excess counsel on cases from the east coast to the west coast, including the notoriously challenging venues for healthcare systems and healthcare providers. He assists with evaluating, assessing, trying, and mitigating damages in multi-million-dollar liability exposure cases.
P.K.’s trial career started in the southeast, and he is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Georgia and the District of Columbia. He serves on several national defense counsel panels for large healthcare companies and liability insurers. Because of P.K.’s proven track record and reputation, he is able to obtain the best possible outcomes for clients whether the case is tried to verdict or resolved outside of the courtroom.
He prides himself on collaborating with medical malpractice defense attorneys across the country to spearhead initiatives to better advocate for and defend the healthcare industry in litigations matters. P.K. is also routinely invited to give lectures and presentations, as well as interviews with national publications on trial and damages mitigation strategies in high exposure cases.
In 2017, P.K. was selected for membership in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an exclusive organization of judges and civil trial lawyers. Membership constitutes peer recognition of the highest trial acumen and professionalism.
