Ellie Friedman joined Huff Powell Bailey in 2025, and she is an associate in the law firm’s Atlanta, Georgia office. Ellie’s practice is devoted primarily to medical malpractice defense. She represents physicians, providers, and healthcare entities in high exposure, complex litigation.

Ellie has been practicing law since 2016. Before joining the firm, Ellie was a Deputy District Attorney in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office in the Birmingham Division located in Birmingham, Alabama. She prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to capital murder. After leaving the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office, Ellie joined the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Homicide and Gang Unit. As a Senior Assistant District Attorney, she handled complex, gang-related homicides involving multiple victims and multiple defendants.
