Erica S. Jansen

Ms. Jansen entered private practice in 2004 and her practice has been devoted primarily to the defense of medical malpractice cases since that time. She has significant experience representing physicians and other healthcare professionals, hospitals, nursing homes, and surgical centers in actions alleging professional negligence in both state and federal courts in Georgia.

While in law school, Ms. Jansen was a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in The National Health Law Moot Court Competition. Ms. Jansen completed a health law curriculum while in law school and was the President of the Student Health Law Association. She was also an intern for The Honorable Thelma Wyatt Cummings Moore, a Judge with the Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia, which allowed her to develop experience in researching and writing on a variety of legal issues. In addition, Ms. Jansen served as a graduate research assistant for the Research, Writing, and Advocacy Department for two years during law school.

Ms. Jansen was selected by members of the legal community as a “Rising Star” in the 2010 Georgia Super Lawyers listing published by Atlanta Magazine. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Atlanta Bar Association.
