Ms. Townsend has considerable experience representing hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals and organizations in actions alleging professional negligence. She also is actively involved in advising healthcare organizations concerning general risk management issues and in handling pre-litigation claims for hospitals and physicians. Ms. Townsend received a full scholarship to attend Louisiana State University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. In law school at the University of Georgia, she served on the Journal of Intellectual Property Law.

Ms. Townsend is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and State Bar of Georgia.
