Ms. Berland is an experienced civil litigator handling complex civil litigation matters, focusing her practice on defending manufacturers throughout all stages of litigation against product liability claims, both before state and federal courts. Ms. Berland currently concentrates her practice on automotive product liability claims, and she has also defended medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers against similar claims, as well as health care providers and healthcare institutions in actions alleging professional negligence.
Ms. Berland is a Master with the Bleckley Inn of Court, and a member of the State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association. Ms. Berland serves as Vice President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
Ms. Berland earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University cum laude and her law degree from Case Western Reserve University. While at Case Western, Ms. Berland served as Associate Editor for the Health Matrix: Journal of Law and Medicine, and was on the Moot Court Board where she was selected among competition participants to receive the Dean Dunmoore Distinguished Advocate Award. Ms. Berland was also presented with the American Jurisprudence Award for Research, Writing and Oral Advocacy.
